Disclosure of Research Results Inherited from NTT
(Following restructuring of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation)
Overview
NTT Communications, which inherited various research results upon the restructuring of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in 1999, discloses various technical information under the premise of fair compensation aimed at contributing to the growth and development of Japan's telecommunications industry. However, certain restrictions regarding these disclosures apply, as follows:
- Research related to user privacy and/or security protection may not be disclosed.
- The timing of disclosing technologies for the realization of specific services or products is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Software Disclosures
Licensing outside companies permission to use, duplicate, modify, sell, etc. inherited software.
Technology Transfers
Licensing outside companies to use inherited technical know-how.
Patent Licensing
Licensing outside companies to use inherited patents.
