NTT Communications to Support Yangon Office Building SAKURA TOWER with ICT Services
SAKURA TOWER tenants to enjoy reliable, high-quality Internet environment
TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it has received an order from SAKURA TOWER, an office building in Yangon, Myanmar, for information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and support to enable SAKURA TOWER to provide tenants with a high-quality Internet environment. NTT Com will begin accepting applications from tenants on May 1.
NTT Com will provide customer support in English, Burmese and Japanese. Network monitoring will be offered on a 24-hour basis, and any network failure will be promptly restored by NTT Com or reported to the appropriate local ISP. Infrastructure will be backed by highly reliable redundant networks both inside the building and between SAKURA TOWER and domestic ISPs. Backup networks will assure customers of minimized impact on their businesses if the main network ever goes down.
SAKURA TOWER will offer a long list of ICT services supported by NTT Com:
- "Digi-Path" Internet connection service
- Global IP addresses
- Rental routers
- Internet VPN for secure connection with LAN networks in other countries (requires global IP address and router)
- Virtual firewalls built with NTT Com equipment and security policies tailored to each user
- Large-file delivery for oversized files that cannot be attached to emails
- Web hosting, including domains and access analysis
- Mail hosting, including high-quality antivirus and spam filtering, web mail, automatic reply, mailing list creation and range of mailbox sizes
SAKURA TOWER is a 20-story office building in Yangon’s central business and government district. It has a number of multinational tenants.
Myanmar has been emerging as a new market and production base since the country returned to civilian rule in March 2011. Although multinational companies are expanding their business activities in the country, the underdeveloped ICT environment has created a strong demand for stable ICT services. NTT Com launched a branch office in Yangon in October 2012 to provide international networks, system integration, security and other ICT solutions services.
To apply for services (in English, Burmese or Japanese), or for information about specific service fees, interested companies should contact the NTT Communications Yangon office at or via phone at (95) 1255 032 (extension: 1504).
