NTT Com Launches ID Federation for Enterprises
–First in Singapore and Thailand, later in Europe, Americas and more–
TOKYO, Japan — October 1, 2015 — NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within NTT (NYSE: NTT), announced today that the immediate launch of ID Federation, an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) that enables diverse business applications to be used conveniently and securely with one ID, beginning in Singapore and Thailand. Launches in other global markets will be announced going forward.
ID Federation enables cloud authentication for single sign-on and simplified ID management. It has been favorably received by users for its high-quality security, service and ease of installation, which NTT Com can offer as an experienced telecom carrier.
Advantages
• Single sign-on for more than 1,600 Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings
ID Federation enables single sign-on for an extensive range of software offered by NTT Com, Microsoft, Salesforce, Box, Google, as well as the customer’s on-premises systems and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) business applications.
• Multiple methods for robust authentication
In addition to standard risk-based authentication, the service offers optional authentication methods such as swiping, machines (devices), Time-based One-time Passwords (TOTP), in accordance with each enterprise’s security needs and policies.
• Connect with Active Directory
ID Federation enables single sign-on to the widely used Active Directory service developed by Microsoft. With the Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), diverse business applications can be used without additional authentication via devices that have been authenticated by an Active Directory.
• Reduced costs for ID management
ID Federation provides administrators with unified control of IDs and access logs, and access to business applications, thereby helping to reduce the costs of operational management.
